Emanuel Dees II oldest son of Emanuel



Emanuel II born in James City County 1700-1705. His wife was named

Elizabeth (possibly Price)and he died in Johnston Co NC in 1770.

In 1730 he was deeded land in Bertie County which later became Edgecomb

Co. In 1734 he sold some of it to his brother John and signed himself

Emanuel Dee.



Part of his will is listed below.



"I lend the manor house and half the orchard and clear ground to my well

beloved wife, Elizabeth, during her lifetime."



"I give and bequeath to my loving Daniel my plantation and all my land.

"I give and bequeath to my well beloved son, Dorsey Dees, two pounds."

"I give and bequeath to my loving son Dewitt Dees forty shillings."

"I give and bequeath to my loving daughter Hanna Benton ten shillings."

"I give and bequeath to my loving daughter Priscilla Hatcher, ten shillings."

"I give and bequeath to my loving daughter Susanna Guing two cows and calves

and my will and desire is that all my first debts......my son in his debts

to John Smith....
