Brief Summary of the Sentence on the above will
William Lewin, Doctor of laws of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury, had considered the case of the will of John Buswell, deceased, late of Dichley in the Diocese of Lincoln and Province of Canterbury. The action was between Thomas Buswell of the one part and Mary Buswell alias Goodall and James Buswell, the executors, of the other part. Mary Buswell alias Goodall had insisted that John Buswell was of sound mind and memory when he made his will, and nothing put forward by Thomas Buswell had weakened this, therefore Dr. Lewin upheld Mary Buswell's contention. This sentence was promulgated on Friday the 19th February 1590/1 at the petition of Richard Goodall, notary public, acting on behalf of Mary Buswell alias Goodall..
