BOUTWELL, MARGUERITE HELEN LAFOE DAVIS, departed this life peacefully on May 10, 2012 at the age of 98. Marguerite was the daughter of Charles and Hazel (Sanborn) LaFoe and was born in Ashland, NH, Feb. 19, 1914. She was preceded in death by 2 children, Eugene Davis and Hazel (Vivian) Davis Guillory, 3 grandchildren and 10 brothers and sisters. Marguerite is survived by 2 daughters, Audrey Bracken (Bruce) of Vero Beach, FL and Phyllis Dearborn (Eric) of Orlando; 1 sister Irene Romano (Barefoot Bay, FL), 10 grandchildren, and a large extended family. Marguerite had resided in Sebastian, FL from 1960 until August of 2006 when she moved to Orlando to reside with Phyllis and Rick. She was very active in the bowling community in Sebastian, serving in many capacities in the Sebastian River Bowling Association for over 30 years. She was very proud of her many bowling accomplishments, but the proudest was the achievement of a plaque from the WIBC for 25 years of participation in the WIBC National bowling tournament. Attending the national tournament was always the highlight of her year and was planned and discussed for months before and after the actual tournament. Marguerite retired from Hale Indian River Groves, Wabasso in 1992 after 40 years of dedicated service. She started with the firm when it was just a one person office, and served as office manager to the end of her working career, enjoying the growth and success of the firm as much as if it was her own. At her request, no formal services will be held. A memorial will be held in Orlando Saturday, May 12 at noon at the home of Rick and Phyllis Dearborn. - |
