Note on Wife: Joanna + GOFFE
Joanna Goffe was the sister of the man who financed the Mayflower as well as several other ships traveling between England and MA Bay Colony. She was a very wealthy woman and inherited her brother's estate after her brother and his sole heir, a daughter, died. She settled her estate on her Longley children [ MPR 9:231; MLR 12:77]
