Served as a private in Captain Thomas Magill's Company of Minute Men, which marched on the alarm of April 19th, 1775 from Rowley, MA . Also in Capt Magill's Company, Col. Gerrish's Regiment, also in Captain Thomas Magill's Compnay, Lieut. Colonel Laomi Baldwin's (Late Col. Gerrish) 38th Regiment. Military Archives, Commonwealth of Massachusetts. He was also on the muster and payroll of Capt. Silas Adam's Company, Col. Titcomb's Regiment; also on muster and payroll of Captain Johathan Evan's Company, Col. Nathaniel Wade's Regiment.
