bordertown-october 4- at the aboriginal camp today george a ‘lang a half caste died. the deceased had been ill for a long time, suffering from CONSUMPTION. he was a native of port lincoln, and had lived in the kingston district before coming to bordertown. he was buried in the bordertown cemetery, the service being carried out by the rev. f r french

hay

accident at a funeral – bordertown august 10- the rev d milne met with a serious accident today. he was following the remains of miss hay to the cemetery , and when about a mile from this town the hearse stopped. the rev d milne who was in a buggy , pulled up the horse harnessed to the vehicle.. the pole however, caught in the spoke of the back wheel  and put the buggy on the lock. mr milnes horse became frightened and began plunging and overturned the vehicle, mr milne was thrown out of the vehicle on to his head. he sustained injuries to the head and hand and was picked up unconscious . after rallying he got  in to another vehicle and proceeded to the cemetery, where he performed the burial service. mr milne is 82 yrs of age
