Mary Ann Million invalid email - anyone know how to contact her? email [email protected] I would like to know what my great great grandmother Hester's maiden name was? She married James MOORE, son of Jeremiah MOORE & Rachel CHANDLER. Hester was born abt 1807/1808 and married abt 1824/25 in Sumter Co, S.C. Could she be John CHANDLER'S daughter? John had six daughters and he named them in his will 1829. He mentioned Hester Moor, I thought maybe she could be his daughter as she was already married by 1829, because her first child Margaret S. was born abt 1826. I would appreciate help trying to find Hester's maiden name. The children's name she had by James Moore were as follows: Margaret S., Reddin S., Louisa E., James Pleasant, Levi I., Julius, Mary E. who marred James A. Buddin, Thomas Andrew, Samuel Chandler who married Julia C. Cole, Franklin L. and Warren P. James died July 23, 1854 and Hester married a Kirby in May 1856 and moved to Darlington Co, S.C. Thank you. Married Sarah KOLB, daughter of Peter KOLB (son of Johannes KOLB) and Ann JAMES (daughter of Rev Philip JAMES). Evander is my gggg-grandfather. I would like to know what he did for a living. I have heard there was a judge in SC named Evander McIVER. Could this be him? Any info on Evander would be appreciated... BTW..I have photos of HARTS, LIDEs, WILSONs and COKERS grave markers in Welsh Neck Baptist Church and Hartsville First Baptist cemetaries if anyone would like info from those markers. Jan 1997 |
