"1. THOMAS,sup>1 MIGHILL and his unnamed wife were members of the church in Roxbury, Massachusetts,[3] before appearing at Rowley, where he was appointed deacon of the First Church on December 1639.[4] His wife ELLEN ____ was buried at Rowley on 12 1st month [March] 1640[/1][5] and Thomas married second ANN PARRAT, who died there on 17 November 1694,[6] sister of Deacon Francis Parrat.[7]

He apparently had some special concern about his son John, for he stipulated that John's legacy of £17 (to be paid in three years) was to be paid instead to his brothers Samuel and Thomas unless "his Carriage be such dureing that whole time as give satisfaction to the Revd Elders of the Church of Rowley."[9}
