"DEA. JOSEPH BAILEY3, settled in the East parish of Bradford, which is now Groveland. He was a deacon of the church and selectman of the town for twenty-three years. He married Abigail Trumbull, and died Oct. 11, 1712. His wife Abigail survived him, dying, his widow, in Bradford, Nov. 17, 1735. He devised his homestead to his son Richard Bailey.
