"1452 Henry Hooker (Saxa,6 Elijah,5 John,4 John,3 Samuel,2 Thomas1), son of Saxa and Clarissa (Stocking) Hooker, of Kensington, Conn., b. Sept. 20, 1809, at Kensington, Conn.; m. Sept. 16, 1840, Charlotte Lum, daughter of Reuben Jr., and Sarah (Lum) Lum of Squantic (Oxford) Conn,. b. May 21, 1821 at Squantic, Conn. They lived at New Haven, Conn., where he was the head of the firm of Henry Hooker & Co., a large and widely known firm of carriage builders. He kept the old home at Kensington and used it as a summer residence. He died at Kensington, Conn., Oct. 3, 1873.
