JOSEPH BROWN,3 born in Newbury May 16, 1685. He was a joiner, and lived in Newbury. He married Miss Sarah Poor of Newbury Dec. 11, 1707; and died July ---, 1725, his will dated July 2, 1725, being proved Aug. 2, 1725. His estate was appraised at £455, 15s., 9d. He had a house, barn, etc. She survived him, and was his widow in 1729.

27--I. RACHEL,4 b. Aug. 25, 1708; m. Timothy Remick of Kittery Dec. 18, 1729; and he was of Newbury, shipwright, 1735, when she was his wife.
28-II. ELIZABETH,4 b. Dec. 8, 1710; m. John Carr, jr., of Salisbury (pub. Jan. 28, 1726-7); he was of Newbury, yeoman, 1735, when she was his wife.

30-IV. ELEANOR,4 b. March 15, 1715.
31-V. REBECCA,4 living in 1725; probably m. Ezekiel Hoyt of Amesbury Dec. 25, 1735.
32-VI. SAMUEL,4 b. about 1720; turner and chairmaker; lived in Newbury; probably m. Mrs. Abigail Harvey of Newbury Jan. 3, 1743-4.
33-VII. SARAH,4 b. about 1723; living in 1736; probably m. Samuel White, jr., of Haverhill Nov. 15, 1744.".
