"1. THOMAS,sup>1 MIGHILL and his unnamed wife were members of the church in Roxbury, Massachusetts,[3] before appearing at Rowley, where he was appointed deacon of the First Church on December 1639.[4] His wife ELLEN ____ was buried at Rowley on 12 1st month [March] 1640[/1][5] and Thomas married second ANN PARRAT, who died there on 17 November 1694,[6] sister of Deacon Francis Parrat.[7]
Thomas Mighill was buried at Rowley on 14 [4th]month [June] 1654.[8] His will, dated 11 June 1654 and proved on 27 1st month [March] 1655, names his wife Ann Mighill, sons Samuel, John, Thomas, Ezekiel, Nathaniel, and Stephen Mighill, and daughter Mary Mighill. He apparently had some special concern about his son John, for he stipulated that John's legacy of £17 (to be paid in three years) was to be paid instead to his brothers Samuel and Thomas unless "his Carriage be such dureing that whole time as give satisfaction to the Revd Elders of the Church of Rowley."[9}

i. SAMUEL2 MIGHILL, d. 31 Jan. 1698/9;[10] m. Rowley 26 March 1657 ELIZABETH TOPPAN,[11] daughter of Abraham and Susanna (Taylor) Toppan/Tappan.[12] Samuel's will, dated 10 June 1697, mentions his "only surviving brother" John Mighill and John's son Samuel.[3]

iii. (Rev.) THOMAS MIGHILL, b. Rowley 29 8th month [Oct.] 1639;[14] d. 26 August 1689, probably at Scituate, Mass;[15] m. Roxbury 8 Nov. 1669 BETHIA/BETHULA WELD,[16] probably daughter of Daniel and Ann (____) (Hide) Weld.[17]
