"1. EDWARD1 WOOSTER, whose origin is unknown,† was of Derby, Conn.,* and died there 8 July 1689. He married first --------;† and secondly TABITHA TOMLINSON, daughter of Henry and Alice of Stratford. She married secondly, about 1690, as his second wife, Dr. John Hull of Derby, and died in 1691.

†Orcutt's suggestion that she was related to Francis French of Derby has been amplified in subsequent accounts, some of which state that she was Elizabeth French. It is more likely that she was sister of Thomas Langdon, for whom Edward's eldest son may have been named.".

"6. SYLVESTER2 WOOSTER (Edward1), of Derby, died 16 Nov. 1712. He married SUSANNA ---------, who married secondly, 30 Nov. 1713, Samuel Washburn,† born at Stratford 5 Mar. 1670/1, died at Derby in 1724, son of Hope and Mary (Stiles), and thirdly, in 1724, --------- Northrop.
The probate records give the names and ages of Sylvester's children, early in 1714, as Moses, 13, Tabitha, 11, Samll, 8, Nathll, 5, Sylvester, 3, and Susanna, 7 months. In Feb. 1724 the widow was called Susanna Wooster alias Washborne, in Dec. 1724 Susanna Northrop, lately Washborne.
