"(I) John Horton, with two brothers, came from England to New England at an early date, John settling in Rehoboth, Mass., where he married Mehitable Garnzey, and their children were eight in number, the five sons being: John, Jotham, Nathaniel, Jonathan and David. No record of his death has been found. His home was in the south part of the town of Rehoboth, where his grandson, Lieut. James, lived during the early part of his life.".
