He married first, at North Kingstown, 22 Oct. 1702, MARY ------;* and secondly MERCY (CARR) WEEDEN, born at Jamestown 24 Feb. 1698/9. daughter of Edward and Hannah Carr and widow of John Weeden, to whom she was married 20 Dec. 1711.

The will of Samuel Brown, dated 2 June 1757 and proved 16 Aug. 1762, mentions his wife Mercy, her son Caleb Weeden, her son-in-law Robert Proud, his own sons Jeremiah, Samuel, John, Zephaniah, and Daniel Brown, his daughter Sarah, wife of Thomas Peckham, his daughter Freelove, his granddaughter Mary, widow of Christopher Phillips, and his granddaughter Hannah, daughter of Jonas Minturn.
