"Mrs. Amelia Markley
Mrs Amelia Markley, 86, of 22 Bowker street, died early this morning at the Franklin County Public hospital following a long illness. A lifelong resident of Greenfield, she was born here Oct. 7, 1859, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Sauter.
She was the widow of Abam Markley. She leaves one grandson, Wilbur G. Markley, with whom she made her home; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Pluff of 14 Prospect street; two brothers, Martin Sauter and William Sauter, both of Greenfield, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be from the C. E. McCarthy funeral home Friday at 1:30 p. m., and from St. James' Episcopal church at 2. Burial will be in the Green River cemetery.".
