"(IV) Asa, eldest child of Joseph (2) and Elizabeth (Upham) Woolson was born in Weston, Massachusetts, August 2, 1727. In 1766 he moved to Townsend, Massachusetts, and two years later to the adjoining town of Lunenburg, where he spent the last twenty years of his life. On June 1, 1762, he married Elizabeth Knight, who was born in Woburn, Massachusetts, July 3, 1736. They had seven children: Elizabeth, Lois, Asa, Elijah, mentioned below; Ebenezer, Amos, Josiah. Asa Woolson died at Lunenburg, April 18, 1789.".
