"[70] MARTHA CORNWELL was born August 13, 1669, in Middletown, the second daughter and second child of John and Martha (Peck) Cornwell [#52]. Martha was married in Middletown March 13, 1692, to RICHARD HUBBARD, the youngest son and seventh child of George and Elizabeth (Watts) Hubbard, Jr. [#20], born July 1655 in Middletown.
Richard Hubbard was the executor of his father's will and was left with home lot, house, barn and all other buildings there on and was "enjoyned to provide comfortably for his mother during her widowhood." Richard's own will on file in Hartford was dated July 14, 1731. He died in Middletown July 30, 1732. Richard and Martha (Cornwell) Hubbard had six children, including daughter Martha [#83].".
