"3. SAMUEL3 BARTON (Matthew,2 Edward1), of Salem, Framingham, and Oxford, yeoman, founder of the Bartons of Oxford, born, probably at Salem, about 1664, died at Oxford 12 Sept. 1732. He married, probably at Salem, about 1690 , HANNAH BRIDGES, who died at Oxford 13 mar. 1727, daughter of Edmund and Sarah (Towne) Bridges.* Samuel Barton and his wife were buried in the burying ground west of the Common, in Oxford.
