"2. WILLIAM ROGERS2 (Lieutenant William1 was born in Burlington County, New Jersey, circa 1705, and died there in 1771. Like his father, he was a farmer, and resided in the township of New Hanover.

Mr. Rogers was one of the chosen freeholders of Burlington County in 1767. He married Elizabeth, the daughter of Thomas Branson, § of Springfield Township, by his wife Elizabeth Day,* who predeceased him, but who was named in her father's will of November 1744.
