April 11, 1602, Eng.; died Nov. 13, 1666. (4) John,2 b. Jan. 26, 1612-3; d. April 4, 1692; m. 1st, Oct. 20, 1637, Redigon Clap, who d. Dec. 10, 1645; m. 2d, Sept. 20, 1647, Mary Bass, dau. of Deacon Samuel Bass, of Braintree; she died June 29, 1704, aged 73 years.".

"(II) Obediah Read, son of Esdras Read (1), was born about 1639. He married Anna Swift, of Boston. She died September 13, 1680. The record of his death is on his gravestone in Copps Hill cemetery, Boston, as February 19, 1721. He was a carpenter by trade.
