I prefer to believe that Jonathan Rogers married at age 22 rather than age 33. If so, this son of Thomas married Hannah Brown rather than Margery Stevens. A different Jonathan Rogers married Margery Stevens.
"(III) Jonathan, son of Thomas and Ruth (Brown) Rogers, was born at Newbury, June 18, 1702. He was a captain in the English provincial army. He married, intention July 12, 1735, Margery Stevens, of Boston. Children: Jonathan, born June 16, 1736; Robert, Born April 21, 1738; Benjamin, of whom further; Margery, born May 2, 1742; Hannah, born March 18, 1744-45.
(IV) Benjamin (I), son of Jonathan and Margery (Stevens) Rogers, was born at Newbury, January 27, 1739-40, and died April 10, 1812. . . ."2Vital Records Of Newbury Massachusetts to the End of the Year 1849, Vol. 2, Marriages and Deaths, p. 426 (1911).
