"(II) George Fairbanks, son of Joseph Fairbanks (1), came with his father from England and resided in Dedham until about 1657, when he removed to the southern part of Sherborn, afterwards East Medway, now the town of Millis.
. . .
He died January 10, 1682.
He married October 26, 1646, Mary Adams, of Dedham, who died August 11, 1711, in Mendon, Massachusetts, probably at the home of her son-in-law, William Holbrook. Their children were: 1. Mary, born November 10, 1647; married January 16, 1665-6, Deacon Joseph Daniels, son of Robert and Elizabeth Daniels; freeman of Medfield; she died August 9, 1682; he died June 23, 1715; had nine children. 2. George, born May 26, 1650, in Medfield, Massachusetts, inherited south part of of father's farm; died 1737; was principal inhabitant of ther new town of Medway, October 14, 1713; married Rachel Adams, daughter of Peter and Rachel Adams, in 1671; she died May 12, 1678, and he married Susanna ----- and Sarah -----; had ten children. 3. Samuel, born October 28, 1652; died November 20, 1676. 4. Eliesur, born June 8, 1655. 5. Jonas, born March 23, 1656-7; died November 28, 1676. 6. Jonathan, born in Medway, May 1, 1662; resided in Sherborn, afterwards set off as Medway, probably in the old stone garrison house near Bogistow Pond; was the first physician in Sherborn; selectman for several years and town clerk; drowned December 19, 1719, by falling through the ice while crossing the river from Medfield in the night; married Sarah -------, who died July 9, 1713; married (second) Annie -----; had six children. 7. Margaret, born June 27, 1664; married William Holbrook, of Mendon; will proved December 16, 1714; had three children.".

"Captain George Fairbanks, the son of Jonathan, remained in Dedham with his parents until 1657, when he located in that part of the county now called Millis. He was one of the original settlers and founders of the town of Sherborn, where he served four years as Selectman, and was chosen as one of the committee to select a minister for the parish church. He was a member of the Ancient and Honorable Artillery Company. This highly esteemed citizen was accidentally drowned June 10, 1682. His wife. Mary Adams, of Dedham, whom he married October 26, 1646, died August 11, 1711. Their son, Eleazer, Sr. , through whom the line was continued, was born June 8, 1655. In 1679 he took up a home lot on Main Street, Sherborn. Captain Eleazer Fairbanks, son of Eleazer, Sr. , was born in Sherborn, October 29, 1690, and died there September 19, 1741. His wife, Martha Bullard, who was born December 25, 1712, a daughter of Captain Samuel Bullard, survived him, and a few years after his death married again."

[ENSIGN] THOMAS1 TENNEY (JohnA, ThomasB, HenryC) was baptized at Great Limber 25 June 1615, and he died at Bradford, Massachusetts, 20 February 1699/1700.[25] He married first, say 1639, presumably in New England, ANN MIGHILL, sister of [Deacon] Thomas Mighill. She was buried at Rowley, Massachusetts, 26 September 1657.[26] He married second, 24 February 1657/8, ELIZABETH (NORTHEND ?) PARRAT,[27] widow of Francis Parrat and said to have been the daughter of [Mr.] John and Elizabeth (Coole) Northend of Ripplingham in the parish of Rowley, Yorkshire, born in England.28

ii. HANNAH TENNEY, b. 15 March 1642/3; m. before 1667, as his second wife, JOSEPH JOHNSON of Haverhill, Mass., son of William and Elizabeth (Storye) Johnson of Charlestown, Mass. Eleven children.
iii. MERCY TENNEY, b. 17 June 1644; living at Bradford 3 March 1714/5 (date of her husband's will); m. at Rowley 22 Nov. 1664, THOMAS HARDY, son of Thomas and Anne(____) Hardy of Ipswich, Rowley, and Bradford. Eleven children.
iv. THOMAS TENNEY, b. 16 July 1648; d. at Rowley, "an old man," 7 Aug. 1730;[31] m. at Rowley 8 Sept. 1680, MARGARET HIDDEN, the daughter of Andrew and Sarah (____) Hidden of Rowley. Eight children.
v. JAMES TENNEY, b. 15 Aug. 1650; living 16 May 1716, at Rowley, but dead by 19 Jan. 1725/6; m. at Rowley 3 Oct. 1684, ABIGAIL LAMBERT, daughter of John and Abigail (Hutchinson) Lambert. Seven children.
