This is a near lost and gone cemetery. It is on private property and permission is needed from the owner and he needs to guide you there. We were taken to the cemetery by the owner of the property. This cemetery was surveyed in 1998 but by 2010 some of the stones were not found. I was surprised to find several 'modern' gravestones from the 1930's era. There were several broken stones and at least 6 to 8 sunken unmarked graves and 3 or more rusted illegible funeral home markers. It has now gone back to nature, covered with leaves and fallen branches. Caution: It would be easy to fall into one of the sunken graves. I believe that is a legend that hasn't been documented. Jane died bef. 1880 census. He married Laura abt. 1881. Arkansas Death Records Grant Co. Jack Pumphrey 30 Jan 1915 Note: gravestone states died Jan 15. at age 112. His birth bet. 1816-1822. Believe he was more like age 88-93. On Jack's gravestone: In Love He Lived, In Peace He Died His Life Was Craved, But God Denied.
