This site includes newspapers published in cities located in Weld County and 'Old Weld County' ONLY up until the dates the present counties broke away from Weld County. They are listed alphabetically by town, then chronologically by newspaper.

In so many instances, when a newspaper was not in existence very long, the papers were not preserved. When a location was found of preserved papers the location is noted along with the dates of the papers they hold. State Historical Society of Colorado has the best collection of old newspapers in Colorado. A definition of the abbreviations used for the location of the papers is listed at the end of this site.
