I have decorated with valuable ornaments, presented to Christ for myself and for my family and sons Smpat and Abas and Ašot. I Lord Sargis commanded the servants of this church after the death of this pious queen to perform without fail one k'aüasunk' during the fifty days of the Dormition until the coming of Christ. If anyone ignores this inscription/what has been inscribed, may he be condemned by Christ. She was the daughter of Prince Yasynya of Osetia.1 Helena of Osetia married Yaropolk II Vladimirovich, Prince of Pereyaslavl, Great Prince of Kiev, son of Vladimir II Monomakh Vsevolodovich, Prince of Pereyaslavl, Smolensk, Chernigov, and Kiev and Gytha of Wessex, circa 1116.1,2 Helena of Osetia was living in 1145.1
