Our Mission Statement
2nd Wednesday of each month at 1:00 PM except for July and December when meetings include a pot luck luncheon and begin at Noon.All meetings are held at the First Lutheran Church located at 803 3rd Avenue in Longmont. W e meet in the "Friendship Center" room which is on the street level. It is accessed by the west door that faces 3rd Avenue, It is adjacent to a small parking lot with 2 Handicap spots. More parking is available on the West side of the building with a stairway leading to this upper level.

Closed: week of Thanksgiving; 2 weeks over Christmas and New Years. Call 303-772-4373 for possible closings on snowy days.
The Family History Center has free access to Ancestry.com and other family history software and websites that generally charge for subscriptions. If you need assistance navigating these materials, several aids are typically available to help.

Society's Book Collection donated to the Longmont FHCOur collection of books on genealogy from "how-to's" to local history on Longmont and some CD collections have been donated to the Longmont Family History Center at 1721 Red Cloud Road. Check the online Index to the Book Collection and then visit the FHC to read the books or view the CDs.

A Project of the Colorado Council of Genealogical Societies. Click on the link to download the index. The Colorado State Archives maintains records from the State and Territory of Colorado, counties, municipalities, special districts, private entities and a few federal agencies. Shaw Mortuary Burial Records Shaw Mortuary Burial Records The Shaw Mortuary was in business from approximately 1882 to 1945 when the business was sold to George Howe. A fire in 2013 distroyed the original records maintained by the Shaws, but the Longmont Genealogical Society had reproduced many of the records in their Quarterly Newsletters. These burial records have been indexed and are now available here.

Boulder County News Index - The Boulder County News was published from October 12, 1869 until November 8, 1878. This newspaper is available on microfilm at the Longmont Public Library and is available upstairs with the other newspapers on microfilm.
