Discussion

The possibility of Margaret Williams' mother being Ann is based on the family having a sampler by Ann Williams dated 1805.

The death of Margaret's first husband, John Wolohon, in 1849 undoubtedly led to her moving from Pittsburgh to Richmond, IN in 1849 or early 1850, where she married James Perkins. Whether she married John Wolohon in Pittsburgh or in New Jersey, where we orginiated, is yet to be determined. No marriage record for them has been found in New Jersey records searched in Gloucester and Camden counties. John Wolohon is most likely the son of John Wolohon and Priscilla Mullick, who were married in 08 Mar 1804 in (then) Gloucester Co., NJ.

From A full account of the great fire at Pittsburgh, on the tenth day of April, 1845 compiled by J. Heron Foster, p6 -
"On the corner of Fourth and Ross the "Scotch Hill House," kept by Mr. Wolohon, a large three story frame, was the only building in the square which remains standing--it was on fire severl times, but instantly extinguished, and the flames were eventually staved in that direction by blowing up with gunpowder the adjoining brick dwellings."
The most likely Wolohan family [Source: IGI] is shown below, based on Sarah Wolohan Hawkins' death certificate indicating her father was John and from New Jersey. John Wolohan, grandson of John & Sarah Hammett, son of John & Priscilla Mullick seems to be a good fit with a birthdate around 1810. The middle generation John's death in Mar 1829 could explain the absence of a John in the 1830 New Jersey census.
