Hannah was the daughter of Christopher & Frances Foster. This volume shows a 2d marriage to Sarah, which is apparently incorrect.
1st wife of Daniel Sayre was Hannah Foster. This volume shows a third wife: Mary (?Clark) Fordham, widow of Joseph. Marriage date after 1688. Instead, could Mary have been the wife of Daniel, Jr.?

[15051] There is considerable information about the Sayre family on the internet. While much of it sounds authentic (will, etc.) additional proof will be necessary to confirm what is shown in RootsWeb's World Connect project.
Sources: Colonial Families of the USA by George N. Mackenzie, 1907 ; Virkus' Compendium of American Genealogy (known to have many errors), World Family Tree pedigrees, as well as The Sayre Family - Lineage of Thomas Sayre, a founder of Southampton, by Theodore Banta, 1901.
Internet sources give Mary Clark as Daniel's 1st wife; marr. 2) Sarah, whose last name is not known. Seven children are named: Daniel, Jr., Isaac, Hannah, Mary, Anne (who married Moore), Ethan and Silas.
Another source: Colonial & Revolutionary Families, Vol. II, Richards Family, pg 1083. World Family Tree, Vol. 3, Pedigree #5318; also Vol. 1, Pedigree #4718 (8 pp of info) and this tree starts with William Sayre.
This genealogy shows Daniel was married to "Sarah" rather than Mary. Which is correct?
