Ancestral File gives her surname as Roberti, but this is probably on the basis of Latin records, since she seems to have died prior to the Reformation. Hence, she is probably a member of the Robert dit Gadel family known at Féchy and certainly in the area around Aubonne as early as the end of the 15th Century. The Bégoz genealogy says her niece Andrea Bégoz received a bequest from her brother Michel "Roberti", vicar of the church of Féchy, in 1517, which helps us with the Robert genealogy as well.
Witness at baptism was Marguerite Gélieu, widow of the late Estienne "Bosse" (or Bosset) of Morges. Elizée Robert also appears at the baptism of Pierre Moret in 1673 at Lausanne.
In addition to the known children, we suspect François may also be the father of Jeanne Gadé who married Jean de Martheray before 1609 and baptised at least one child at Perroy. There is apparently another François Robert of a later generation, who baptised at least two children at Perroy in the 1640's. Meanwhile, at Pampigny, we find two daughters of the late Gabriel Robert of Crausaz sous Féchy being married in 1608.
One mention in a document of Claude Mayor 1593, property near St. Livres, with an adjoining property of Gabriel Tripod who, in another document, has brothers Jean and Pierre or Perrod. Besides references to the Robert family in Aubonne and St. Livres, there are scattered references at Aubonne to members of the Robert family from Les Verrières, Neuchâtel. It is remotely possible the family originated there, but the early references in this area seem to have nothing to do with Neuchâtel. Gamaliel appears in several records of H. Galliard, notary near Aubonne, 1629.
In document relating to marriages of his daughter Magdelaine, 30 jun 1641, Louis Echot, notary, he is called Gamaliel Robert alias Gaddel, of Sougey soubz Feschy.
Gamaliel and Jean Robert are mentioned as communiers of Feschy 07 feb 1614 (André Morzier, notary at Rolle). There are also isolated mention of both men in records of François Morzier (1624, etc.).
At an earlier date, 1592, Michel Favre, notary at Rolle, mentions heirs of the late François Robert and heirs of the late Louis Robert, both at Feschy. He also mentions a document of 1549 recorded by Pierre Robert, notary. From these references, it is clear that the Robert surname has been in the area from the first half of the 16th Century. A document of Claude Mayor, notary at Ballens etc., mentions land next to François Robert 01 jan 1593, but this may be simply carelessness. More research is needed before we conclude that this François is the same as the one mentioned as deceased in 1592.
A volume recording obligations to Pierre Sonnyer (ACV DR 31/1) contains at least 9 IOU's written by the notary Pierre Robert in April, 1549. One of these was witnessed by "Jehan Robert frère de moy soubsigné... P Robert". The same volume has an IOU recorded by Pictet, notary, 27 apr 1530, with witnesses Henry Robert and Michel Clerc of Essertines. A similar volume, with dates ranging from 1495 to 1512, also recording debts (in Latin) to a single person, has a single undated record in French at the end of the volume, naming Henry Robert as security for a sale of charcoal by Pierre Blanchet of Gimel to Legier de Paurzat (could this be Panzat or Panczat, a name found in other records at Essertines?). It is not certain at what date notaries in this area switched from Latin to French.
The surviving register of Urbain Campod, notary in the area of Lavigny 1573-1578, contains isolated mentions of Discret Nicolas Robert, notary in 1570, and Egrège Jean Robert of Allamand, notary in 1569. Jean would probably be the brother of the notary Pierre Robert mentioned above, 1549. There is also a document concerning a sale of property by Louis Robert of Martheray, 1573—presumably the same person as the late Louis Robert mentioned above in 1592.
The journals of the commissioners from Bern who visited Aubonne 07 mar 1537 to declare the reformed church, and to dismiss all priests who refused to accept the decree, show Nicolas Robert as one of the priests at Aubonne who accepted the reforms. And, carrying the history of this family back almost another century, Louis Charrière's "Les dynastes d'Aubonne" (Mémoires et documents publiés par la Société d'histoire de la Suisse romande 26:137-456, 1870) cites a document from 1441 that identifies Johannot Lovet and Pierre Robert as governors of the city of Aubonne in that year. Since the position of "gouverneur" would naturally be reserved for only the most prominent families, it seems safe to state that the Robert family must have become established in Aubonne at least a few generations previous to 1441, thus almost certainly before 1400.
Witnesses at his baptism were Estienne Vincent Valier and Isaac Caillat.
His testament was recorded by François Dutruict, notary at Rolle, 23 mar 1701. It identifies him as Discret et Prudent Isaac Etienne Robert de Feschy, justicier d'Alleman, naming has heirs his brother Elizée, minister at Perroy, and a nephew Isaac Michel Robert. The same Isaac Michel Robert is named about the same time in another document as the nephew of Elizée Robert, but his parentage has not yet been established.
Isaac François at one time possessed the "Livre d'Amies", part of which is in the hand of Elisée Gélieu himself. The book next passed to Elisée's brother's family, from which it has been passed down to Bernhard von Gélieu of Koblenz, Germany.

Witness at baptism was Jacob de Burtigner. The children attributed to Jacob in the registers at Aubonne, which appear during the tenure of Gédéon Mayor, are out of sequence, all on one page (p. 175). The Gélieu family record shows these are all the children of Isaac François Robert, who was then the keeper of the Livre d'Amies. Thus, the parish register here seems to be in error.
Held the position of camérier (chamberlain?) of the Abbey of Payerne, 1519-1537. The marriage contract of his sister Bartholomea suggests that they had different mothers. After the dissolution of the Abbey, he seems to have lived in Fribourg (Benoît Nible, notary at Payerne, ACV Dp 73/1, fol. 24v, 25 jan 1550).
Date of baptism in the parish record, entered out of sequence by Gédéon Mayor, shows 02 jun 1686. Witnesses (from the family record) were Jean François Colladon and Jeanne Françoise Roy. The parish record notes presence of M. le ministre Colladon.
Gélieu family record gives baptismal date as 11 may 1684, while the parish record, entered out of sequence by Gédéon Mayor, shows 21 may 1685. Family record gives sponsors as Benjamin Valier and Jeanne Françoise Bégoz, wife of Michel Bégoz. She may be the Jeanne Françoise Robert who married Benjamin Coinsin.
