If the Pierre Reverdil born in 1607 is in fact the child of this Jaques Reverdil and his wife Jaquema Fillon, the presence of Pierre Reverdil at the baptism suggests that Jaques' father, the late Egrege Jaques Reverdil, may have been the brother of the elder Pierre Reverdil. Records of notary Bezel in 1622 identify Jaques as brother of Guillaume Reverdil who married Fran�oise Combaz, and son of the late Egr�ge Jaques Reverdil.

Testament recorded by Jean Michel Barillet, notary at Nyon, dated 14 may 1629, along with testament of his wife Claudine Fornier. He is identified as son of Nicolas Reverdil, with brother Michel Reverdil, brother-in-law Philibert Damond, etc. Jaques and his wife appear at a baptism 25 sep 1641, last known citation in the church records.. Children identified in the testaments are: Jeanne, Jean Mathieu, Jaques, Philibert, Jean Fran�ois, and Jean Anthoine (the latter mentioned only in Claudine's testament).
He is the subject of a reconnaissance in the terrier ACV Fi 289, dated 16 jun 1641, Jaques filz de feu honnorable Nicolaz Reverdil bourgeois de Nion, citing a previous reconnaissance by his father (commissaire Pierre Boussan) 16 mar 1597.

This is not the Jaques Reverdil who married Claudine Fornier, as that couple appears together in 1641, two years after this Jaques Reverdil married Fran�oise Buvelot. This is also not the Jaques who died before 1640 with sons Fran�ois and Pierre, whose marriages appear 1640-41 at Nyon. In the absence of any other direct evidence, we accept this Jaques as the son of Jaques Reverdil and Claudine Fornier, named in their testaments of 1629.
However, there is a reconnaisance in ACV Fg 327, fol. 28 (commissaire Beausobre), with numerous changes or corrections, that seems to show a different genealogy. The original title was Recognoissance d�hon. Fran�oise Buvelot vefve d�hon. Jean Jaques filz d�Egrege Fran�ois Reverdil de Nyon. As amended, the title appears to read, Recognoissance de Urbain filz de Jaques fils de Egrege Fran�ois Reverdil de Nyon. The date is 02 may 1656. The text that introduces the reconnaissant, also heavily corrected, originally read something like Laquelle, bien advis�e pour elle et ses successeurs..., d�Estiennaz sa soeur pour laquelle elle faict fort, et par l�advis d�honnorable Pierre ? George son pere grand et d�hon. Abram Buvelot son cousin presents... However, further corrections changed it to Ledit Reverdil, bien advis�e... (and note that the last word should have been corrected to advis�, masculine instead of the original feminine. The next sections indicates the properties were part of the properties previously recognized in a terrier compiled by Vaney and Perier, 04 nov 1617, by Jean Jaques and Fran�ois Reverdil, and before that, in a terrier compiled by Egrege Rolet Canel, by Egrege Jaques Gaudin.

Evidently the same Jean Jaques Reverdil baptised 05 sep 1591, son of egr�ge Fran�ois Reverdit at Nyon. At least one record seems to list him simply as Jaques, with wife Elizabeth Dunant, unless that record refers to one of the actual Jaques and has given the wrong name for the wife.
