He is the subject of a reconnaissance in the terrier ACV Fi 92, fol. 20, dated 23 aug 1594, which, however gives no additional information about the family apart from the fact that he was a notary. Another reconnaissance is in Fi 91, dated 14 may 1597, for Egrege Fran�ois Reverdil bourgeois de Nion. Another is in the terrier Fi 97, dated 03 oct 1608, Egrege Fran�ois Reverdil bourgeois de Nyon, for property previously recognized by Egrege Jaques Reverdil notaire (commissasire Estienne Brollier).
Marriage record specifies son of Jaques Reverdil, but which one? A document of Jean Rueys dated 23 mar 1676 identifies Jaquemine Dunand, widow of Fran�ois Reverdil of Nyon. Since it is evident that she survived her husband, the Fran�ois Reverdil who married Claudine Bramer� cannot be the same man, so we identify him with the other Fran�ois son of Jaques.

If this were the Fran�ois who was son of Jaques Reverdil and Claudine Fornier, he would have to be the Jean Fran�ois Reverdil mentioned in the testaments of his parents, 1629. However, we believe the actual Jean Fran�ois of those testaments is the one baptised at Nyon 30 jul 1622. On the other hand, he could be the Discret Fran�ois son of Eg. Fran�ois Reverdil mentioned in a document of Jean Michel Barillet dated 30 dec 1631. We accept this tentatively as the only remaining possibility.
The terrier ACV Fi 289, fol. 111, has a reconnaissance for Fran�ois filz de feu Egrege Fran�ois Reverdil bourgeois de Nyon, dated 23 jul 1641.
The terrier Fi 91, fol. 33, has a reconnaissance dated 16 may 1650 for Fran�ois Reverdil l�aisn� (apparently meaning the present Fran�ois, as his father was by then long dead), and there is a notation that, at some point in the future, not specified, one of his properties was held by Jaquemine Dunant, vefve de feu Fran�ois Reverdil, au nom de ses enfans.

Appears in a document of Jean Michel Rueys, notary, 01 may 1659, wherein the commune of Vy grants membership to Jeanne Reverdil and her sons Claude Damond, banneret of Nyon, and Jaques Damond. There seems to be no explanation of why this was done. As to her parentage, the marriage record appears to say she is the daughter of Claude Reverdit, curial de Nyon (1630). This is hard to rationalize with the statement in the testaments of Jaques Reverdil and his wife Claudine Fornier (1629), which identifies Philibert Damond as the brother-in-law of Jaques Reverdil. This would seem to require that Fran�oise Jeanne Reverdil would be the daughter of Egr�ge Nicolas Reverdil, father of Jaques as well as Claude Reverdil who married Esther Weiss. However, the puzzle is solved by the discovery that Philibert Damond's first wife was Jeanne Fornier, sister of Claudine; the brother-in-law relationship was through Jeanne Fornier, and not through Fran�oise Jeanne Reverdil.

Identified as the mother of Claude Clay son of Louis Clay, and as the grandmother of a child of Claude Clay. We have identified her as the same Gasparde Reverdil identified as daughter of the late Pierre Reverdil of Nyon and widow of the late Jean Michel Barrilliet who appears in notarial records at Geneva in 1648 (J. Vignier, vol. 17, p. 152) paying a debt to N. Gabriel Humbert, merchant. If she is the same Gasparde, we will need to find additional information regarding the Barrilliet marriage. The order of the marriages has not been established.
The same Gasparde Reverdil, and her son Claude Cley, are mentioned as later tenants of some property at Nyon in a marginal notation for a reconnaissance in a terrier ACV Fi 167, fol. 227, for Aym� Dunant, in 1556. There is also a notation concerning Claude Cley at the end of this reconnaissance, dated 15 may 1662. The notation concerning Gasparde specifies that she held the property "par heritage", implying that she is a descendant of Aym� Dunant, and that statement in turn suggests that Jeanne, the wife of Pierre Reverdil, was the daughter of Aym� Dunant.
