Will of Adam Millspaugh of Wallkill NY probated 13apr1824 mentions grandchild Nancy S. Slaughter (minor) and her grandfather Isaac Slaughter. This seems to prove that Adam is the father of the William who m. Nancy Slaughter, and also that both Nancy and William had died, leaving Nancy S. to be raised by relatives. If this is so, it is likely there would be some sort of court proceedings on behalf of the child between 1818 and 1824.
