She was born 14 mar 1846, and died January 6, 1911, age 64 years, 9 months, 22 days, daughter of John A. McCoy b. Adams Co., Ohio, and Nancy Perry, b. Tennessee. The computation, however, is one day off, the age at death should be 64 years, 9 months, 23 days. The informant was Hannah Benner (her sister) of Lewistown, Missouri. She was buried at Lewistown 07 jan 1911.

[6293] fact that John A. Smith is listed in 1880 as grandson of John A. McCoy proves that the Emily McCoy who is John A. Smith's mother was dau. of John A., not Alexander Jr. McCoy.
