Believed to be the Marie Johannot who married Pierre Diaquand, because of the mention of a Jeanne Diaquand, niece of Anthoine Johannot (son of Mathieu Johannot and Catherine Pinet), in 1692. She was listed as a fugitive in 1688, so it is likely she went to Geneva along with many others of her family.
Witnesses at baptism, which appears to have been delayed, perhaps because the family was temporarily in Paris, away from family, were Jean Louis Johannot, bourgeois d'Echandens, uncle of the child, and Jeanne Louise Johannot n�e Patry, aunt. (Jean Louis Johnannot was the brother of Susanne Jacqueline Johannot.)
Le Moine has located her testament of 10 apr 1703, when she was about to "leave the realm". If her eldest son Barthelemi had returned to be her escort, the wording would make sense, as her bequest to him seems to indicate he is present, while her son Andr� is "hors du royaume pour cause de religion" (he is in fact in England at that time). The information quoted by Le Moine gives the name of the husband of her daughter Marie as Isaac rather than Jean Jaques Falgoux, which remains to be explained. If she then left the country in the company of her son, they would surely have gone to Erlangen, where he was an elder of the French reformed congregation as early as 1688.
There is some confusion in the account of Le Moine for this family. A son Jean is introduced, not attested in parish registers. Also, another son G�d�on is quoted from a secondary source, perhaps as the result of ambiguous statements in the original court documents.

Testament of 04 oct 1724 noted by Le Moine, mentions children and grand-children. No baptism for Mathieu has been identified, unless it is the one dated 16 dec 1646 for Mathieu son of "Pierre Johannot" and "Catherine Bertrand", but no such couple is known.

The baptismal record is evidently in error, but it is not clear how it should be interpreted. If the father's name (given as Pierre) is correct, then the mother's name is wrong. If the mother's name (Catherine Bertand) is correct, then the father's name must be Jean Johannot. Family records quoted by Le Moine alter both the father's and the mother's names, identifying this child as the son of Barthelemy Johannot and Anne Pinet. There is no further record of Mathieu son of Jean, and there is abundant evidence for Mathieu son of Barthelemy, but no baptism has been identified for him (unless it is this one, or else one that lacks the child's name).
