Settlement after the death of Andr Fivaz shows that Anne was the sister of Marguerite Joccet who was the second wife of Andr.

Her testament was recorded by Benot Nible, notary of Payerne (ACV Dp 73/1, fol. 130), dated 14 jun 1552, in the course of which her ancestry is recounted and several relatives named. She identifies herself as "Cristine fille de Vuillieme Joccet banderet d'Yverdon et de feu Antheine sa premiere femme fille de feu Jacques Tracley bourgeois d'Estavaie", and names as universal heirs her brothers "Pierre et Jacques filz dudict Vuillieme Joccet". She also made bequests to Jehan, Vuillieme, Francese, Marguerite, et George, children of Discret Jaques Dymiere notaire d'Estavaie et de feue Glauda sa femme fille dudict feu Jaques Tracley, and to her mother-in-law Noble Bernardine wife of Nicod de Trey, and Elizabet her aunt wife of Noble Benoit du Moulin.

It is not clear whether she was a daughter of the "first wife" of Vuillieme Joccet, Antheine Tracley, but probably so.

She seems to have inherited property from Noble Jean Robin, cited in records of Blaise Chalon, notary at Payerne (ACV DP 12/2, 10 sep 1551). This could only refer to Jean Robin, apothecary of Orbe in 1520, who became Banneret of Yverdon and Coseigneur of Cronay and Dmoret by 1532. He was still alive, and evidently wealthy, in 1546. Could Isabel's mother have been a daughter of Jean Robin? Without more information, it is not easy to see how to make the dates fit with this idea.
Another relationship is revealed in the testament of Cristine, daughter of Vuillieme Joccet of Yverdon and wife of Jacob de Trey of Payerne(ACV Dp 71/1. fol. 130, 14 jun 1552). Cristine mentions her aunt Elizabet, wife of Benoit du Moulin, and this Elizabet must certainly be the present Isabel Joccet, who would therefore be a sister of Vuillieme Joccet.

The family name is sometimes spelled Jouccet or similar prior to the Reformation. His marriage contract was recorded by Petrus Chuard, notary at Payerne (ACV Dp 16/1, fol. 65v) : Johannes filius quondam Hugueti Jouccet burgensis Paterniaci and Petrus Chavanton burgensis dicti loci nomine et pro parte Jaque eius sororis, 16 jan 1516, with release by bride.

Marriage contract to Andr Fivaz notes presence of Guillaume DeTrey, Josu Gachet, and Abraham DeTrey, cousins and brothers-in-law. She is also claimed in the de Treytorrens genealogy (Recueil des Gnalogies Vaudoises) as the wife of Franois de Treytorrens (rather than de Trey), the date given as 11 feb 1582. We have not established which is correct, but the contract of 15 1591 is clear, and suggests that our reading is the correct one. Therefore, we use the 1582 date published as de Treytorrens, as if it read de Trey.
[14569] Date is given in the Treytorrens genealogy, with come uncertainty, but we believe the groom is Franois de Trey, not Franois de Treytorrens. The name of the notary is not given, unfortunately.
[14570] Marriage contract lacks date (David Gachet, notary), but follows a document dated 12 sep 1591. Church record gives date of 07 feb 1592.

Church record at Moudon calls him Pierre Josset, but his widow's marriage contract clearly says Jaccot. However, the fact that his widow next married Estienne Michod, who was selected to deal with issues arrising from the estate of Denise Regnauld, wife of Jean Gachet, suggests that Joccet is the correct reading.

Surname might be spelled Josset. The notaries in whose records we found "Joccet" frequently use a double "c" where only one would appear today, as in the word "hommiccide" for homicide (the "m" is doubled by analogy with French "homme", but the double "c" seems a regional peculiarity). Some notaries are indifferent, writing "Duccettaz" and "Ducettaz" in the same document. There is some evidence of earlier ties between Joccet and Gachet, as early as 1539. Pierre was Banderet of Yverdon, but we have not established exactly when.
There is a Benedict Jocetus from Yverdon on the list of students admitted to the University of Heidelberg, 07 nov 1584. While this was evidently a family of means and social standing, there seems to be no published genealogy.
One of the connections still to be explained is expounded in a document recorded 14 jan 1539 by Aim Chuard, notary at Payerne (ACV DP 15), in which Mery Chantallet, daughter of Jean Chantallet and Jenete Ponsulaz, sells her interest in a house in Payerne to Jean Amey Gachet. Mery's mother had approval of Pierre Joccet and Claude Joccet. Possibly Jean Chantallet was a son of Oddet Chantallet, whose wife was Isabel Joccet.
The records of Yverdon before the Reformation contain many mentions of this family. A Pierre Jocet is cited at least from 1441 to 1467 as an innkeeper. A Claude Jocet is cited at least from 1502 to 1528. There are also other isolated mentions, such as a Vuilliermo Jocetus in 1459. There are also mentions of property at Yverdon owned by citizens of Payerne, such as a house owned by Pierre Mestral in the 15th Century. Possibly a reference to a Johannes Joctier at Payerne in 1420 is another reference to the same family.
