[14841] From Pedigree Resource File submission of Wesley L. Cherry. We have not located the original marriage record, but this couple is first located in the 1854 census in Big Grove Township, and there do not seem to be any other Rosannas in the area.

Census records are inconsistent, some list Tennesse as a male, others as a female. She is clearly listed as "daughter" in the 1880 census of Walla Walla Co., WA.

[13266] Descendants of Edward Howell, bapt. 1584, d. 1655, and Frances, 1st wife, d. 1630, and Eleanore, 2nd wife, d. after 1655, of Buckinghamshire, England, and Southampton, L.I., New York.
This genealogy, by Emma Howell Ross, 1968, has been missing from the Seattle Public Library since 2005. Information listed above is from the title line of the library catalog and shows the book "checked in". Darlene Hamilton, librarian, made a note of this today (Jan. 29, 2007).
[13271] USGenweb, Suffolk Co, NY records: Shows that Edward Howell was among eight men who formed a company with the intention of establishing their own town. Among others were Thomas and Job Sayre. Before they left Lynn, 12 other families were added to the original 8....Cooper, Newell, and others. By 1640-43 Southampton increased by 43 families.
Information taken from the title/description. SPL Call #R929.2/H839R
The first wife of Edward Howell has been identified as Frances Paxton (parish register of Odell, Bedforshire). Rev. Peter Bulkeley performed the marriage.
[13268] Bulkeley and others sailed to America on the Susan & Ellen in 1635, then settled in Lynn, MA where Edward Howell also settled.
A crucial event in the life of Edward Howell was the sale of the manor house which had been in his family for three generations. Originally purchased by his grandfather, William, in 1635.
[13270] From genealogy above...Edward Howell's last child, Edmond, baptized Jan. 1634 (Lynn, MA?) so Edward could have left Marsh Gibbon as early as 1633.
first wife, Frances, died in 1630...
Francis Doughty of Newtown (or Maspeth) .... Feb. 18, 1661 was ordered to deliver up the house of Rev. John Moore to schoolmaster Richard Mills.... Francis Doughty and wife, Margaret, had one child, Margaret, baptized in the Dutch Church of New York City 9 March 1661. Father's name given as Franciscus Doten...
[12359] Above info found at Fiske Library in Seattle, 7 Feb. 2006.
It is conjectured that the marriage took place about 1641. Place not noted, but could have been in either Lynn, MA or Newtown, L.I., NY. After the death of Rev. John Moore, Margaret married 2) Francis Doughty, son of Rev. Francis Doughty.
[15210] Many references to Rev. Francis Doughty can be found in NEHGR but little info can be found about his son, Francis.

Cited in records of Jaques DeHarsu, notary at Geneva, vol 11 pp. 249, 256, and 257 (1689-1692) as son of Pierre Huaud (Huaut), both master painters in enamel for His Highness of Brandenburg, citizens of Geneva. By 1686 he had already married Antoinette, daughter of Jean Dutoit, minister at Rolle.
We are indebted to Peter Ray for calling attention to very interesting information on the Huaud family.
Aim (or Ami) is listed in Brun's Schweizerisches Knstlerlexikon as follows: "Huaud, Ami, troisme fils de Pierre. Comme peintres en mail, les deux frres se consacrrent surtout la dcoration de botiers de montres, qui etait tres en faveur l'poque et s'tendait non seulement aux parties extrieres, mais mme a l'intrier; les sujets en taient gnralement empruntes la mythologie ou l'histoire romaine."
