Lived at Champvent with her son, after the death of her husband, according to the report of the archivist of Lausanne, 1952. She was living in the hamlet of St. Christophe in the commune of Champvent in 1856 when her son was born.

Marriage record at Champvent notes his birth date and parentage. Banns were published at Lausanne, Rances, Champvent, and Les Verri�res (Neuch�tel), but thanks to a dispensation, not in America.
Some records call him Guenard, which helps us to verify the usual spelling of the name in the records of the notary Aym� Chuard (ACV Dp 15). The marriage contract was recorded by this notary 09 feb 1551 (Dp 15/4, fol. 328, followed by a settlement between Fran�oise and father-in-law from her first marriage).
Family record has Mariote Guyrault, widow of Jean G�lieu, taking their young son Bernard to Geneva about 1559, to be sure he was brought up in the protestant faith and to study theology. Her death seems to have occurred before 1567, when two of her children Fran�ois and Catherine apparently contacted Bernard G�lieu in Geneva regarding debts of the estate.
