Marriage contract recorded 28 dec 1716 in Geneva by Marc Fornet (vol. 23, p. 261) identifies him as a son of Louis Genevois of La Mure en Dauphin�, and now bourgeois of Lausanne, and further specifies that he is presently the pastor at Vaulion in the Pays de Vaud. (At that period, the incumbent of the position of Deacon at Romainm�tier served as the pastor of the annex of this parish at Vaulion. Pierre Genevois held this position 1714-1722.)
Brother of Barthelemy Genevois and present at the wedding of Jeanne, daughter of Barthelemy, 09 apr 1676 at La Mure. The same brothers are named at the marriage of Pierre's son Louis in 1679.
Her two marriages are revealed in transactions recorded by Balthazard DeCristaz, notary at Moudon (ACV DL 27/3), 11 nov 1625. Catherine was presently the wife of Michel Veyre, but had previously been married to the late Jean Chevalley. She must have been the mother of Jeanne Chevalley, wife of Pierre Dutoit, in order for Michel to be the "beaup�re" (father-in-law) of Pierre.
Mentioned in connection with his daughter Jeanne and her husband Fran�ois Dutoit of Neyruz in a document recorded by Baltazard de Cristaz, 09 mar 1634. Name might be Daniel instead of David.
Surname given in document of Jaques Daniel Faucherres, 13 nov 1664, a document of Benoit Girardet, 16 dec 1639, and a number of others. Her testament is recorded by Benoit Girardet 14 mar 1667. Of particular interest is that her daughter Antheine, then already dead, had been the wife of Abraham Dutoit, cordonnier.
His testament was recorded 23 feb 1561 by Jean Jaquier, notary at Moudon (ACV DL 53/1 fol. 69v). It names his son Guillaume, daughter Claudaz (not yet married), daughter Fran�oise wife of Jean Jordan, daughter Louise wife of Pierre Millet, brother Pierre George living in the parish of Pamblon, sisters Gaspardaz, Michielaz, and Andreaz, and wife Catherine. He is apparently the grandfather of the Pierre George whose notarial register begins in 1584 (ACV DL 46/1).
