He is mentioned in connection with property held by his relatives at Villars-en-Vully in the dispute between Nicolletus Gachet of Payerne and the sons of Roletus Gachet of Villars in 1450. Another possible mention would make him the father of a Pierre Gachet who died before 1522 leaving as his residual heir his daughter Catherine Gachet, wife of Pierre Dodin of Payerne (Pierre Chuard, notary, ACV Dp 16/2, fol. 27v, 28 oct 1522). In that document, Vuilleme is described as a citizen of Estavayer, and there is reference to a transaction recorded 18 jan 1454 in which this Vuilliermus purchased property from Vuilliermus Brunet of Estavayer. The date on the transaction from 1450 is clearly written and immediately followed on the same line by the small paraphe of the notary Jacobus Bellin, so it seems more likely that the Vuilliermus mentioned in 1522 is from a different branch, and thus probably a descendant of Roletus Gachet.

He is mentioned as the late brother of Petrus, son of Johannes Gachet, in the dispute of 1450 involving the heirs of Perrodus Gachet (Jacobus Bellin, notary, ACV Dp 8, fol. 82). He is presumably the same Vuilliermus Gaschet whose heirs held property at Villars-en-Vully around 1425, mentioned in several terriers and other documents, but no names are given for those heirs in any of the documents so far discovered, unless he is the Vuilliermus Gaschet, or his son of the same name, who lived in Estavayer in the same period. There are a couple mentions in ACV FL 392 of a Johannes Gaschet who is the heir of Vuilliermus Gaschet, not otherwise specified. Who was this Johannes? Perhaps an otherwise unknown son of Vuilliermus? Perhaps the properties involved can be identified and located in the later terriers.
