Resident at Payerne as early as 1593. He loaned money to several people, the debts recorded by the notary Samuel Pierre Banquettaz (ACV DP 7/1). A settlement among his heirs and widow was recorded 25 jun 1602 by Salomon de Trey, notary at Payerne (ACV DP 31/1).
The only indication of his existance noted so far is his appearance as a witness for a settlement of Pierre and Guillaume Buttet, brothers, at Moudon, 13 mar 1590 (Pierre George, notary at Moudon, ACV DL 46/1 fol. 21). On this occasion, Jaques is identified as a merchant living at Payerne.
Also cited as minister at Vevey, 1624. Registers at Bex have been examined, did not seem to contain any significant details about Abraham or his wife. He was deacon at La Tour-de-Peilz 1589-1594 (?), also deacon at Vevey in 1590. He is cited as minister at La Tour-de-Peilz in 1592, then at Bex 1594-1599. He was minister at Blonay 10 jun 1599 and served there 14 years and 5 months (thus until November 1613), then minister at Vevey, where he died in 1644, according to the parish registers at Blonay. His retirement due to his advanced age was discussed 06 mar 1641 (ACV Ba 14/2 p.253).

He may be the minister Abraham Fross.ard who was at Combremont in 1734 and then "ministre de camp" for the R�giment May by 1737. He was still "impositionnaire" as late as 1760, but he had apparently served at Gimel 1744-1746 and at L'Isle 1746-1752, and perhaps at Lussy in the 1760's. He was buried at Morges 27 oct 1766. The isolated reference to him as "impositionnaire" in the "fichiers des pasteurs" at the ACV (Bdd 86a p. 7, 08 apr 1760) seems odd and raises the possibility that there were two men of the same name, both from the Frossard de Saugy family, at the same time.
