Identified as the widow of the late Jean Dutoit, minister at Rolle, and mother of his son Gaspard Dutoit, who succeeded his father in that office.

She was very likely a relative of the pastor Jacques de Conches, noted in 1620 at Tournon-l�s-Privas and 1626 at Pranles in the Vivarais region, where her husband served for many years. (Recall that ministers, such as Jean Dutoit, almost always marry daughters or sisters of ministers.) Eug�ne Arnaud (Histoire des protestants du Vivarais et du Velay, 1:659, 1888) notes Jaques de Conches was born in Privas and enrolled in the theology curriculum at Geneva in 1604 (Jacobus Deconchesius Privasiensis in Vivariatibus, 01 nov 1604). The surname is noted at Privas and elsewhere in the region, but we have not yet found a reference to Paule. Most of the protestant registers of the area have not survived, but there are some Deconches baptisms at Chomerac about 1670. In 1653, there was an elder named Deconches at Privas, where the minister at that time was Paul Accaurat. Might Paule be the daughter of that elder, named after the minister of that parish?
A Paul DesConches received assistance at Geneva in 1684. This man came from La Pisette, near L'Eyrieux in the Vivarais.
Surname occasionally appears in other forms, including at least once, Decomb. He is described in 1708 as a "habitant" at Vevey. Several references to him as husband of Susanne Marie Margueron in minutaires of Pierre Dutoit, notary at Vevey (ACV DS 36/39 and 36/40, dates ranging from 21 feb 1708 to 03 feb 1711).
Testament recorded by Benoit Giraudet, notary at Moudon, 17 dec 1641. There is a marriage at Payerne, 10 jan 1625, Abraham Decrevel to Ursule daughter of the late Samuel Moratel, apparently pertaining to our Abraham as well. The corresponding contract (David Savary, ACV DP 93/1, 20 dec 1624) identifies brothers-in-law Abraham Bize, Jacob Bize, and Jean Dutoit.
Sister of Abraham and George De Crevel, partage among them recorded by B. Girardet, notary, 20 nov 1639, at Moudon. Father was Theobald DeCrevel, marriage record indicates husband was Jaques son of Jaques Dutoit, but notarial records and other records indicate her husband was Jean son of Balthazard Dutoit. We are leaning toward the explanation that there were two husbands of one Annelle.
There is a testament recorded for Annelle Decrevel in a volume from the records of Moudon (ACV Bil 97, a register of testaments probated at Moudon, 1668-1685), not yet examined.
He is probably the notary cited at Moudon 1544-1560, though that would make him, or his son Hans Thiebaud, older than we thought. There was also a Jaques Decrevel, notary at Moudon in 1551, and a Pierre Decrevel notary at Combremont-le-Grand at least 1514-1548, with possible connections in Moudon. The communal archives of Moudon has a collection of papers of the Decrevel family (DBBC 412, not yet examined). Among the notarial records of Geneva, there is a fragment of the registers of Fran�ois Bovard (or possibly Bonard) dating from 11 may 1527, concerning a sale by Guido Pidoux, m�tral of Combremont-le-Grand, acting for Nobles Bernard and Claude d'Avenches, brothers, of land belonging to Fran�oise, widow of the late Claude Decrevel, and their children.
