He is undoubtedly the Rodulphus de Praroman de Friburgo who is mentioned in a reconnaissance dated 09 jan 1510 in a terrier for the Prieur� de Lutry (ACV Ff 32 bis, fol. 131v, commissaire Pierre Marchand). The passage is problematic because a couple words are not very clear. Either the property, formerly in the hands of Perronete, daughter of Pierre de Saint-Amour, was now held by Rodolphe and his nieces (daughters of the late Antoine, brother of Rodolphe), or else, in a different reading of the difficult words, Rodolphe was the grandson of either Perronete or Pierre de Saint-Amour. Another possible interpretation, that the property was now held by Rodolphe and his grandchildren, seems completely untenable, because all of his known children were still living at that time, and none of them is known to have had any children at all. Regardless of how the passage is read, the problem of how the property of the heirs of Perronete came to be associated with the de Praroman family remains.

The house of the de Prez family, dating from 1421, if not earlier, still stands, in the north section of the old "bourg" of Lutry. The house was owned by Noble Aym� de Prez, Sr. de Corcelles-le-Jorat when Fran�ois Gachet died there in 1575. N. Aym� de Prez has the distinction of being the father of the wife of Isbrand Daux, who used his office of bourgma�tre de Lausanne in a plot to deliver the city into the hands of the Duke of Savoie in December, 1588. The plot, known in French as "la conjuration d'Isbrand Daux," was discovered at the last minute, but Daux and a number of other conspirators, including N. Fran�ois de Prez, son of Aym�, were able to escape into Savoie. It has always been supposed that there were other conspirators or supporters of the plot whose names have never come to light. (See the article of Maxime Reymond, "La conjuration d'Isbrand Daux", published in several installments in Revue historique vaudoise, volumes 24-25, 1916-1917.) Gabriel de Prez must have been another son of Aym� de Prez, and after his descendants sold their claim to Corsier-sur-Lutry and other fiefs, and the fief of Corcelles-le-Jorat was confiscated from Fran�ois de Prez for his part in the conspiracy, the de Prez family seems to have retired to Savoie permanently.
Because of the close association of the de Prez family with Fran�ois Gachet, it is possible that his second wife was another daughter of Aym� de Prez.
David Martignier and Aymon de Crousaz (Dictionnaire historique, g�ographique et statistique du Canton de Vaud, 1867) give a brief history of the fief of Corcelles-le-Jorat (pp. 241-243), giving the name of the wife of Aym� (she is also cited as Ayma de Villarzel). From the history of the fief, it appears that Aym� should have been the son of Jean de Prez, son of Guy de Prez and his wife Jeannette, apparently the sister of Pierre Mestral of Lutry. The de Prez family seems to have come originally from Rue, in Canton Fribourg. However, a document from 1537 clearly establishes that his father was Bartholomeius de Prez: "C XXII NF05929, Intitul�: 1537 ao�t 13. - Noble Aym� de Prez, seigneur de Corsy sur Lutry, fils de noble Barth�lemy de Prez, seigneur de Corcelles-le-Jorat, entre dans l'hommage lige de LL.EE. de Berne et reconna�t tenir sous hommage lige et noble des biens tenus jadis par noble Fran�ois de Russin, et acquis par Barth�lemy de Prez, puis donn�s par ce dernier � son fils Aym� en l'�mancipant: La ville et territoire de Corsy sur Lutry, avec juridiction accoutum�e, etc, et les biens et revenus qui en d�pendent ri�re Corsy, Belmont, Lutry, Cour, Lausanne. Il tient aussi l'exemption et libert� de la loi du sceau de la cour de l'official. Avec d'autres biens proc�d�s des Villarzel. - Reconnaissance re�ue par le commissaire Johannes Gignilliatti." This is confirmed by another document: "C XXII NF05928 C XV 17/8, Intitul�: 1531 juin 21. - Arbitrage mettant fin � un diff�rent entre Claudius de Glane et Aymo de Prez, fils de Barth�lemy de Prez, au sujet de la seigneurie de Corsy sur Lutry. Barth�lemy de Prez avait acquis Corsy de Fran�ois de Russin, pour 1700 ff.pp., sous gr�ce de rachat, puis donn� cette terre � son fils Aymo en l'�mancipant. Claude de Glane c�de par arbitrage son droit de rachat pour 900 ff.pp. (Cf. C XV 17/6) Sceau manquant de l'official de Lausanne. - Re�u par Johannes Gignilliatti. In pede: 1584 octobre 12. - Laud de cette cession par le bailli de Lausanne en faveur de Fran�ois de Prez." However, from the chronology, Bartholomeus was apparently a son of Johannes.
