In spite of the fact that her marriage record says she was from Morges, we have not found her baptism there. She is said to be the daughter of the minister "Jean Dance", but there is no such minister noted at Morges. Instead, there was a deacon B�at Louis Dance, appointed 12 feb 1714 and departed for "Long...." (this name cut off in the margin of the register at Morges) before the appointment of his successor Jean Fran�ois Mandrot 08 mar 1733.

The collection "Fichiers des pasteurs" at the Archives Cantonales Vaudoises gives citations that place Susanne Gabrielle at Yverdon 1754-1755. Her baptism is not noted in this collection, but since the citation at Yverdon is as a sponsor for a baptism, her birth date is estimate to be no later than 1740.
