His testament, recorded by Jerome Masson the elder, notary at Lausanne, is dated 05 nov 1642 (ACV DG 160/1). It includes bequests to Annelle and Andrianne, daughters of his brother-in-law the late Zacharie Bouchet. Andrianne was to receive 500 florins toward her dowry.

[14864] John Bowen and his wife, Lily McIlhaney, were thought to have had twelve children...but 13 are listed in The Bowens of Virginia and Tennessee by Grady. Harman, in his Annals of Tazewell County also lists Rebecca, who was not mentioned in her father's will. For the time being, Rebecca is included in this family grouping, but further research will be necessary to determine if she really was part of this family.
