BEN GILBERT WILLIAMS,
75, died at 4:45 p.m. Nov. 28, 2006, at Lima Memorial Health
System.
He was born May 14, 1931, in Salyersville, Ky.,
to Meniffee
and Emma S a l y e r s Williams, who preceded him in death. On
Aug. 18, 1950, he married Geraldine Wheeler, who survives in
Lafayette.
Mr. Williams was a farmer
and had retired from Northwood. He had also worked at Western Ohio
Stone, for 26 years, and had been a concretetruck driver for
National Lime & Stone. He enjoyed hunting and NASCAR.
Survivors also include six children, Gary (Barb)
Williams, Randall Williams, Darrel (Anita) Williams and Karen
(Kenny) Wortman, all of Lima, Greg (Julane) Williams, of Van Wert,
and Gail (Mike) Kahley, of Ada; 14 grandchildren; nine
great-grandchildren; a sister, Beaureda Colley, of Lima; two
brothers, Albert (Joann) Williams, of Lima, and Delbert (Edith)
Williams, of Mount Sterling, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Juanita
Johnson.
Services will begin at 1 p.m. Friday at Siferd
Funeral Home, Westwood Chapel. Chaplain Tim White will officiate.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
today and one hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home.
