Mrs. Richard (Bettie) Lentz


    Mrs. Richard (Bettie May Cole) Lentz, 525 S. West, died at 7:45 a.m. today at her residence after an illness of one year. She had been seriously ill 25 days.

    Mrs. Lentz was born in Lima, June 5, 1924, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Cole, 508 S. West. She graduated from Central High School and attended Northwestern School of Commerce. Mrs. Lentz worked for a short time in the office at Westinghouse. For the last 15 years she was employed as a typist and bookkeeper with the Cole Electric Company.

    She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society.

    Requiem High Mass will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Monday in St. John's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Gethsemani Cemetery.

    Survivors include her husband, Richard, whom she married June 15, 1944; two daughters, Darlene and Christine, both at home, and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Cole.

    The Altar and Rosary Society will recite the Rosary at 8:30 p.m. Sunday in the Cantwell-Sweet Mortuary where friends may call after 7:30 Friday. The body will remain at the funeral home until time for services.
