Lyman Jones, 100, died at 11:25 p.m. Dec. 14, 1995, in Springview Manor Nursing Home.
He was born Dec. 15, 1894, in Flat Gap, Johnson County, Ky., to Brownlow and Caroline Brown Jones.
On May 5, 1920, he married Sopha Stone, who died Dec. 27, 1982.
Mr. Jones was a farmer and later worked for Vanhoose Lumber Co., Louisa, Ky. He was a veteran of World War I.
Survivors include two sons, Oscar Jones of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Clyde Jones of Temple, Texas; a daughter, Jessie Griffith of Lima, eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday at Young Funeral Home, Louisa, Ky. The Rev. Gallie Isaac will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Louisa, Ky.
Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
