Wedding at Vernon - A quiet wedding took place last Wednesday at the residence of Supervisor John Burns at Vernon, when his son Edwin was married to Miss Ernestine Gilgenkrantz of San Francisco. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Hinman at noon and was followed by a sumptuous dinner, one of those collations for which Vernon is famous. Only the near family relatives of the contracting parties were present. The bride was attended by Miss Grace Burns and groom by LeRoy Burns. At the conclusion of the dinner the happy couple took their departure on the afternoon train for San Francisco where the honeymoon will be spent. They will return next Tuesday and take up their residence at Vernon, where they will be at home to their many friends. They have the best wishes of all and we take pleasure in extending our hearty congratulations. Article courtesy of Sharon Suckow
