CaribbeanGenWeb, Caribbean and West Indies genealogy and research

What is the CaribbeanGenWeb Project?

Island Websites

The CaribbeanGenWeb Project is an on-line data repository for queries, family histories, and source records as well as being a resource center to identify other on-line databases and resources to assist researchers.  It is the regional branch of the WorldGenWeb Project.

We are working hard to make this Project multi-lingual, so please feel free to post your queries or messages in English, French or Spanish.

There is a website with resources available for each of the Islands, so stop by the Island Links page.  Some of the islands are in need of a host.  If you would be interested in hosting one of the islands, please contact me.

You can also select an island with a cliquable map of the Caribbean Islands

Project Management

The CaribbeanGenWeb Project is managed by a Leadership Team who have a love for genealogy with a particular interest in Islands of the Caribbean.  We are not experts in all areas of research in the Caribbean. Archives - The CaribbeanGenWeb works in conjunction with the WorldGenWeb Project to maintain an on-line archives of source data records.
Should you have a question regarding the project, please visit our Help Desk.  This board is a resource so that you can learn more about the project or to offer a suggestion to improve the project.  Do not post your queries there. Mailing Lists - Mailing lists can be a valuable tool in your research by enabling you to connect with others that might be able to assist you in your search.
Queries - Each of the Islands maintains a system for submitting queries.  Additionally, there is some a General Query board just in case you don't know which Island your ancestor was from.
Research Tips - Here you will find some research tips and  links to some of the highest quality websites we could locate to assist you in your research.
